Петр Великий — самый большой крейсер в мире



Петр Великий — тяжелый атомный ракетный крейсер, флагман Северного флота России. Четвертый корабль проекта 1144 Орлан (НАТО: Kirov-class battlecruiser). Самый крупный в мире крейсер с водоизмещением более 26000 тонн, уступающий по размерам только авианосцам.
На момент начала строительства в 1980-хх корабль нес имя Куйбышев, а потом, Юрий Андропов. На момент принятия на вооружения он получил наименование Петр Великий и несет это имя до сих пор.
Основной задачей крейсера является борьба с корабельными группировками противника, в первую очередь, с авианосцами, а так же защита морского пространства от нападений. Для этого он оснащен противокорабельными сверхзвуковыми ракетами и широкой номенклатурой средств обороны от подводных, надводных и воздушных угроз.

HASSELL + EOC presents MARS HABITAT



The HASSELL design for a Mars Habitat has reached the final 10 of NASA’s 3D Printing Centennial Challenge. This NASA competition sought perspectives from outside the traditional aerospace industry, to explore how a human habitat could be designed and delivered on Mars using autonomous 3D printing technologies. HASSELL partnered with Eckersley O’Callaghan to design the external shell which could be constructed entirely by autonomous robots using Mars’ natural regolith.
Final film has been made in collaboration with the team at LightField London.

The Hong Kong — Zhuhai — Macau Bridge is a giant transport complex, including a group of bridges and underwater tunnels, that cross the Pearl River and connect the main cities of the gerion: Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macao. It is a 55-kilometre (34 mi) bridge–tunnel system. It is the longest sea crossing and the longest fixed link on earth.

In the United States, NASA Television's Public and Media channels are MPEG-2 digital C-band signals carried by QPSK/DVB-S modulation on satellite AMC-3, transponder 15C, at 87 degrees west longitude. Downlink frequency is 4000 MHz, horizontal polarization, with a data rate of 38.86 Mhz, symbol rate of 28.1115 Ms/s, and ¾ FEC. A Digital Video Broadcast (DVB) compliant Integrated Receiver Decoder (IRD) is needed for reception.
