11 октября ушел из жизни Алексей Леонов, первый человек, совершивший выход в открытый космос.
В фильме памяти прославленного космонавта – рассказ о подготовке исторического полета, в который должен отправиться экипаж Беляева-Леонова. Первый — командир, а второй должен совершить настоящий подвиг. Успешный старт, выход в космос — кадры с изображением парящего Леонова видит весь мир. Никто не знает, что через 12 минут произойдет страшное: раздутый как мячик скафандр практически отрежет космонавту путь обратно в корабль.
