Some of the best information I’ve come across relating to Mars exploration, and indeed anything going on in regards to manned and unmanned space exploration, is Andrew LePage’s website, www.drewexmachina.com. LePage really does his homework, uncovering the secrets behind the mysterious Zond 2 probe, illuminating the overall contributions and fate of Mariner 3 and providing a much-needed context for the early days of the interplanetary missions of the Soviet Union. Amy Shira Teitel of Vintage Space, provided information about the first attempt rovers destined for Mars — the Prop-M rovers from the Soviet Union.
