Mammoet Hydraulic Gantry (SBL 1100) — Trafo and SPMT



Mammoet’s Hydraulic Gantries, also known as a four point lifting systems, are gantries with hydraulic legs, which can be easily mobilized. Compact in size yet capable of lifting heavy loads, they are used to meet a broad range of lifting challenges, though they are particularly well-suited in situations were heavy loads need to be lifted inside a building. This animation shows a hydraulic gantry used in combination with a set of self-propelled modular transporters (SPMTs).

Mammoet animation of Trailer Power Assist (TPA)



Trailer Power Assist (TPA) is a new heavy transport solution developed by Mammoet in cooperation with SCHEUERLE that greatly increases transport efficiency and safety. The TPA-system is based on the SCHEUERLE K25 trailer, which is fitted with a Power Pack Unit (PPU) that hydraulically powers 4 of the 6 axle lines. One TPA can replace at least two trucks in conventional heavy transport, limiting down the number of trucks required to pull and steer to just one – whilst greatly enhancing trailer combination versatility, maneuverability, and safety of the entire transport. 1,640,000 pound petrochemical splitter being transported in Edmonton, Alberta



This video was recorded on January 7th at about 12:10am on Whitemud Drive at the 50th Street intersection in Edmonton Alberta. The petrochemical splitter is heading to Heartland Petrochemical Complex, which is currently being built outside Fort Saskatchewan Alberta.
This particular splitter separates propylene from propane, which is then processed into a recyclable plastic known as polypropylene.
