1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. That’s the estimated number of stars in the universe. That’s a pretty big number. But, how did we get here? And, can we go bigger? You bet we can go bigger. In this video, Neil deGrasse Tyson and comic co-host Chuck Nice are here to help you understand how big some numbers truly are.
We have to start small. Neil takes us from a simple million to a billion and then way beyond anything you’re imagining. You’ll learn how many stars are in our galaxy. And, how many galaxies are in our universe. What does the number really mean in the scale of everything?
How long would it take you to count to a billion? How long would it take you to count to a trillion? Then, we cross the point where numbers get so big that you have to start using words to describe them. Discover more about a mole, a googol, a googolplex, and Skewes’ number. Wendy Bijwaard is looking for a place to live after separating from her husband. For years she’s lived in Amsterdam-Oost, where she has her job, her two children’s schools, her friends and hobbies. But will she be able to stay there? The 52 year old earns well and could afford an apartment in the Dutch metropolis. The only problem is — she’s been unable to get anything. For the sake of her children, Wendy isn’t giving up. For now, she’s found a temporary abode with friends. But by the summer she will have to have found a new place to live.

Dell launched two fascinating concepts at CES 2020. The Dell Duet is the more conventional of the two with its dual screens, 360 degree hinge, and familiar form factor. Then there's the Ori. It's the more experimental of the two, for sure. Rather than two separate screens, it features one large, foldable display. Yep. The screen itself folds in half just like Samsung's Galaxy Fold. Unfortunately, it might end up having the same problems that plagued that device.
