Mammoet Hydraulic Gantry (SBL 1100) — Trafo and SPMT
Mammoet’s Hydraulic Gantries, also known as a four point lifting systems, are gantries with hydraulic legs, which can be easily mobilized. Compact in size yet capable of lifting heavy loads, they are used to meet a broad range of lifting challenges, though they are particularly well-suited in situations were heavy loads need to be lifted inside a building. This animation shows a hydraulic gantry used in combination with a set of self-propelled modular transporters (SPMTs).
Trailer Power Assist (TPA) is a new heavy transport solution developed by Mammoet in cooperation with SCHEUERLE that greatly increases transport efficiency and safety. The TPA-system is based on the SCHEUERLE K25 trailer, which is fitted with a Power Pack Unit (PPU) that hydraulically powers 4 of the 6 axle lines. One TPA can replace at least two trucks in conventional heavy transport, limiting down the number of trucks required to pull and steer to just one – whilst greatly enhancing trailer combination versatility, maneuverability, and safety of the entire transport.
