УПРАВЛЯЮЩЕЕ УСТРОЙСТВО — Этот компонент назван управляющей секцией в книге.
ЗАГРУЗОЧНАЯ ИНСТРУКЦИЯ — Фактически называется в книге инструкцией данных. Для перемещения данных из ОЗУ в ЦП процессор Скотта использует две разные команды.
Инструкции ВВОДА и ВЫВОДА — в процессоре Скотта больше задействованы в перемещении данных между ЦП и внешними устройствами.
АККУМУЛЯТОР — Регистр, который содержит выход ALU, называется Аккумулятором в книге. Это имя обычно используется для этого регистра, хотя его просто называют регистром в видео.
РЕГИСТР АДРЕСА ПАМЯТИ — является частью ОЗУ в книге, но в видео представлен как часть ЦП. Был помещён в ЦП, т.к. используется в реальных процессорах.
ИНСТРУКЦИИ ПЕРЕХОДА — В книге есть два типа безусловных инструкций ПЕРЕХОДА. Один переходит к адресу, хранящемуся в следующем адресе в ОЗУ (это тот, который используется в видео), а другой переходит на адрес, который уже был сохранен в регистре. Они называются инструкциями JMP и JMPR соответственно в книге.
ПРОПУЩЕННЫЙ КОМПОНЕНТ — В видео отсутствует дополнительный компонент, который используется для добавления «1» к числу, хранящемуся в регистре. Этот компонент называется «bus 1» в книге, и он просто переопределяет временный регистр и отправляет номер «1» в ALU вместо входа B.
ОБРАТНЫЕ КОМПОНЕНТЫ — Регистр команд и регистр адреса команд находятся на противоположных позициях на диаграммах, используемых в книге. Они инвертируются в видео, потому что внутренние линии блока управления будет представлена в последующем видео и сохранение этих регистров в исходных положениях затруднит процесс проектирования.
OP CODE WIRING — линии, используемые блоком управления, чтобы сообщить ALU, какой тип операции должен выполняться, отображаются возле нижней части ALU в видео, но в верхней части ALU в книге. Они были отменены по той же причине, что и перечисленная выше.
