Patriots — «Come Back Again» (#TOTPcoversV2 Day 8)



For Day 8, we're super duper proud to present to you one of the most unexpected joys of #TOTPcoversV2 so far, a most enchanting and irresistible cover of «Come Back Again» by our dudes in Patriots. Watch till the end for some even more delightful Easter eggs, and we dare you not to let this lil' tune (and its sweet, sweet accompanying video) put the biggest smile on your face since, I dunno, maybe the last time you let your hair down at a gig?
Part of the Shah Alam REFOFEV gang, we first got to know Ayeen when he was fronting Heart-A-Tack, which later morphed into Patriots as we know them now when they started embracing heavier riffs to add to their arsenal of modern day pop punk sounds. Their debut full length album Separation, released in early 2020, which sounds like a world class pop-mosh record to our ears, has so far flown under the radar for a lot of people in the local scene, and the fact that we've been spending most of 2020 in partial lockdown did not help matters either as it's just not possible for them to go out on tour to support the album's release.
So we hope this wonderful cover of «Come Back Again», and yes we're simply suckers for a soaring pop punk tune, will help introduce these pop-mosh maestros to a lot more people out there who may not even know of the existence of a genre like pop-mosh. A piece of pure happiness that everyone will be able to enjoy, thank you Patriots for this gift, especially in these trying times that we call 2020.
